Im looking for direction on Fuel Tank/fuel pump for my swap project. I have a vortex 6.0 going into a 1980 K5. I’m wrapping up the engine build - stroker/heads/cam/intake. I need a fuel pump that can feed 60lbs injectors - I’d like to go in-tank so I thought I’d see about buying both the take and the pump at the same time. Or at least figuring out what tank i need then buying a pump that meets my needs and fits my tank.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

when i did fuel injection swap i got the 87 tank sender , and you can get a ep381 that is popular ls swap pump. so the 87 tank has internal baffles.
is this an 1980 blazer or truck or??????

K5 blazer.

Thanks for the reply! I looked into the Ep381 - I’m not 100% sure but i don’t think it flows enough to feed my injectors. 60lbs/hr of gas is roughly 76 gallons/hr. The Ep381 on O’reily’s site says 27gallons/hr. With that being said, If I can nail down exactly what tank I’m using Then I can search more specifically for a pump that fits the tank and the required flow rate.

I’ve read a lot of people use the ‘87 tank but I’m not sure if that’s only for pickups or if they interchange on blazers or what exactly I should look for.

And the sending unit holds in tank pump
Call summit for pump they can help
