New guy here. I'm sure this has been asked more times than anyone can count but I'm struggling to find a simple, easy to understand answer.
I have an 85 blazer that I'm wanting to put an ls motor and 4l60e transmission into.i have an 03 suburban with the dbc engine and transmission that I'm planning to use. I'm retaining the 85 transfer case. My question is primarily the cruise control and instrument cluster. What do I need to do to use the 03 cruise control and keep my original instruments in my 85?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome @k5-85

Can't give ya a good answer. Someone here eill have the info.
Many times a vehicle speed sensor(vss) mod to t case is all that is needed. Not sure if mechanical speedo drive and vss are possible at same time.
There are aftermarket gps devices that will drive a mechanical speedo, an option.

As far as I know the actual module that runs CC just needs power and a normal 4000 pulse per minute electric speedometer signal.
Maybe a brake light signal.
I looked into it and kept the module to do mine, but I haven't done it yet.
I remember it didn't sound hard.
How you get that signal and keep a mechanical speedo im not sure.

Maybe just get a newer 87+ cluster...? :dunno:

I saw on another site that a 91 suburban instrument cluster would fit my 85 blazer and it is digital. Does any know if that is true?
