Is there a favorable vehicle year range when undertaking a 350 TBI 700R4 NP 241C to LS1 4l60E NP 241C swap? I want to have all the facts before I start this project and sell off my current motor etc.

04+ they are drive by wire, but have no EGR and much more power. No more difficult to install the a drive by cable

When you say drive by wire, do you mean no throttle cable? I would really like to use my 700R4 with this swap.

If you want to run the 700 you will need a drive by cable setup or another option is to put the guts from the built trans into the 4l60e case. For more infor on what you need check out my ls swap article or my build thread

Remember, thier are a old and a new version to the 4l60e. they updated some of the internals.
They also have two different types of lockup torque converters -- Pulse width modulated, and straight lock up.
They split from 93/94, 95, and 96 - 00, then again changed part way through the mid 2000s. All will bolt in place of the other, but have different lockup types, different shifters, different internals etc
