Im at the wiring and plumbing stages of my build and I want A/C.
Is there OEM lines that will work on the LS engine to my 89 3+3 ?

If not who builds custom A/C lines?
Thanks

forget who but someone makes a bracket for the small round serp belt a/c comp of the 80's early to mid 90's compressors that out trucks run . and it goes on the pass side dead spot.

otherwise if your using the 6.0 comp then its custom stuff for sure.

Here is one.

Those are cool brackets, but will not work for my rig.
Coilover hoops are close to the engine, and because I mounted the engine so low those brackets would put it into the hoops.
Plan is to notch the lower frame rail and mount the OEM compressor.

So I guess custom A/C hoses are gonna be necessary.
Any suggestions? Would a hydraulic shop be able to make A/C hoses?

Dangit again! There was a thread recently on here about a dude in Texas I think.that had custom lines done...

I am in the exact same position other than no coil hoops to work around. I am thinking about notching the frame as well. Otherwise its $200 for the brackets, another $200 for the compressor, and then I have GMPP's compressor just laying around (probably cost $200 in the kit, maybe could see it for $50).

I'd be interested to see how your frame job goes.

I mounted the engine Low, only the lower part of the frame C is an issue.
I have the original compressor from the 6.0 and its good so Im looking to save some cash and re use it.
Gonna check with the local guy that made my hydro assist lines and see if he can do A/C lines.

Im pretty sure i remember seeing something that an ac compressor out of like a geo or some strange thing had a smaller body to it and the lines coming off the rear. I'll see if i can find it.

Thanks anyway, but Im gonna use this compressor.
Its good and Ive got it mounted.
Gonna have to research and possibly have lines made up for it.
