I just did a 14b ff swap on my k5 and it didnt come with lug nuts , the only thing i could find in old psost is that their 9/16, is their anything else i need to know (like is their a length measurement) what am i looking for? thanks

same thing happened to me. i went to a junk yard and loaded up my pockets. found a 14 bolt to test them on first.

we called them 9/16 nuts at the tire shop, but i walked into an o'reilly asking for that and they looked at me cross eyed and scrambled for the computer.

9/16"x18 is the correct size. they'll prob have a few variations of the size, i use the open nuts that you can use a 7/8" socket on.

I prefer the long, closed-ended nuts (usually chrome). A deep-sockets stays on there nice. Keeps the muck off the threads so they don't gall. I *hate* lugnuts I can't spin off by hand after they're cracked loose.

You and your little nuts.:haha: Auto zone has the super bling, blazer sized 1" nuts. Of course, the average 4-way doesn't handle gargantuan nuts like this, so there are some downsides to big nuts.:haha:

Mine are 13/16" open ended. I bought a box of 100 when I needed them and then sold the other two sets of 32 and made my money back:D. If I did it over I would prolly get the long closed ones as they are easier to get on and off with basic tools. The ones I have I had to get at deep socket to fit over the stud.:o

The only issue with the closed end fancy chrome lugnuts, is their price, at about $1.20 each,,,,,and needing 32 of them,,,ouch:eek1:

they look good mounted up to an H2 wheel though :D

After you find out the hard way that 20-25 or so of your OE lugnuts have to be wrenched the whole way off, the price doesn't feel so bad.

ok thanks for the help, i think im gonna go get some at the junk yard tommorow and then get some nice ones later , im finally to the point were i can drive the truck after 2 1/2 months , and all i need are the lugs

you think you're so cool with your big nuts. ghey!

I've never walked into a parts store that didn't have them. I've also never walked into a parts store that had 32 on hand.
