A buddy of mine has a couple of these sitting on his farm that he never uses. I talked him out of one yesterday. I have been needing a small knock around trailer and was thinking it would make an awesome camping trailer. Especially for off-road camping trips and Blazer Bash. I'll post up some pics tomorrow but I will be using it for a couple small construction projects before starting to work on it honestly.

It should pair well with the addition of a little lift and conversion to 8 lug wheels. To get it up to level with the lifted truck or my blazer.

If you guys have them or use them let's see 'em!

I have a 1956 Bantam but is 12 hours away at my moms place.

I’d like a trailer like you got.

The bantams and m-100 Dunbar trailers are essentially identical. The dimensions are the same I think the only actual difference is weight. The m-100 weighs a little more, has a larger wheel well and takes a larger tire. Other than that not much difference. I'm hoping to get the other one from him....LOL. He's sort of a trailer whore. He has about 9 trailers that never get used. I ask about the little m-100's everytime I go to his place and yesterday he made a price on one and I paid him on the spot so he couldn't change his mind...LOL

I'm thinking the first mod will be adapters for the stock bolt pattern to 8x6.5. For me this is more of a convenience thing than anything else. Everything I own is 8 lug so I have extra wheels and tires around. When I start building it for trips I will run the same wheels and tires as my truck. With a spare on board the trailer it will give me two possible spares, I like redundancy.

Oh yeah...just Googled the m100. Same as the Bantam, I thought you were talking about the full sized trailers. But then that would be 8 lug already.
The thing about the little guys is that they are very narrow and short. Cant haul a quad in one. Cute as heck and cool camping trailer, I was going to fix mine up to pull behind my Landcruiser. I think it would look a bit funny behind a square. But maybe not!? Guess we will see when you get it set up.
Looking forward to it!

For me it is just enough extra space to get everything you need for camping. My truck will have a tool bed on it and what I am thinking eventually is to build a water tight top for the trailer, get all of my camping stuff in it and dry. That way I can just back up to it and go when I want to get in the mountains. They are small sure, but with a spring over and some decent tires on them they look pretty dang cool I think.

I think a military trailer looks quite at home behind a square...

I think the only downside to the smaller trailer will be the low height.

I've had a crap ton of the 101's and 105's I like them. The 105 is just so dang heavy it makes towing it did stances impractical. The 101's are much better for general purpose but they are really hard to find up here where we are. I see the 1101 HUMMWV trailers from time to time but they are priced ridiculous now. The little m100 jeep trailer with big tires is a little small for heavy towing....I don't think you can even get a ate in one but for camping it's just the perfect size. We do a spring over lift on the axle to get clearance for larger tires to level it out behind a lifted truck. I'll post some pictures today for reference.

Funny thing is, I've already had four people wanting to buy the little thing off of me and I haven't even got to play with it yet...LOL

By the way, the M101a3 makes the best truck bed for a CUCV that I have ever had. We've done it to about 4 trucks and it's super easy to do. I really miss my CUCV I built about 8 years ago. It was just a beast and I let a guy buy it that had been hounding me for months about it. I still with I had kept it.

I've seen this done, and it looks good in pictures. But nobody has given me one, so I haven't been able to try it for myself yet. ;)

Once upon a time we were buying the M101's for 200 bucks from GL online. We would buy them four at a time. Sell two and keep two. At one time I had 10 of them parked in my field....LOL they are still fairly cheap in the south, check Clarksville and red stone arsenal in Ms. It's a drive for you but worth it. Get two and you can stack one on top of the other and chain them together for the ride home.

This is my M100 and after closer inspection I am nearly certain it's a Bantam as well. Just a slightly older version but before the BT-3 Civilian. It's in really good shape and looks pretty good behind my Diesel Suburban. If I do say so myself. Wiring on it sucks and the hand brake is long gone. It has also been converted to a 2" ball. All of that will be rectified shortly. I can verify that this one and it's brother were AIRFORCE trailers purchased from the AFB here in Great falls MT....

That one looks identical to the one I have.

The handles on he corners are the giveaway for he bantams. Also the round fenders of the m100 differing from the squared off fenders of the 416 trailer. I've been after these two for a couple years. I'll build one and sell the other one. These things have become extremely desirable, especially for the jeep guys.

Figuring out how to get it up level with my k20. New springs, tires and wheels should do it once I figure out what I'm running on the truck. Pintle hitch will also be a must.
