Dabba
1/2 ton status
$2500 OBO for CK5ers!
I hate to do this, but I was accepted to Physician Assistant school and I need to sell the truck. I'd rather it go to you guys first so it's going to be posted here as well as steelsoliders before going on CL/ebay.
The truck: 86 M1008 K30. Mostly stock. That means 6.2L diesel with just under 60k on the clock. TH400 trans was replaced when I bought it, so mileage unknown. Drives and shifts good. NP208 TCase, replaced rear output seal when I bought the truck. Starts right up in cold weather. In original 24v/12v configuration. Dana 60 front axle with open diff, rear 14 bolt with a detroit locker that functions perfectly
Other work that's been done: Replaced D-side floor due to rust. Truck has BFG M/Ts with a ton of tread left. IP has been replaced. Starter has bracket and has be helicoiled to proper bolt size by professionals. Glow plugs replaced. D-side alt rebuilt
Body: Hood has surface rust. Drivers side door is pushed in but functions fine (Probably from military fork lift). Body has some various dents and dings from trees. No rear tailgate, but has a pronet which looks very nice with the truck.
I also have a spare D-side door and tailgate to go with the truck.
The Bad: Spring hangers are rusted pretty bad and probably will need replacing soon. I was planning on doing the shackle flip lift myself but, I got the call and now it needs to go. Great for anyone looking to lift it themselves. One hub is an oddball replacement and wont unlock. The knob turns but probably needs to be taken apart and looked cleaned out/replaced. Front and Rear D-Shafts needs Ujoints. Has vibration that shows up after hitting a bump, goes away after slowing down, most likely due to frozen UJoint.
I'm going to be moving in the fall for school and the money is going toward another vehicle. I'm really hoping to find it a good home. I've had it for the last five years or so and planned on keeping it until after I became a PA to restore myself. Hopefully someone else can do that now, or at least wheel it like it should be!
