The Blazer I bought recently, I was told, was a prior military vehicle. The front bumper still has the cutouts of where the shackles were, and the rear still has the bars coming out for the shackles. From what I have been reading so far, the M1009s had diesel engines. This one has a 350 TBI, and it doesn't look like it was swapped in. Did the military use gas engines in any of their Blazers? Any way of identifying this vehicle for sure?
There are some pics I posted on the "New to CK5, stop in and introduce yourself. " thread.
Thanks

first off.. look at the instrument cluster.. between the speedo and fuel guage at the top is there a rectangle? that would be the wait light for the diesel..

if you want take some pics of the instrument cluster and send them to me.. [email protected]

it may have been a "government" vehicle.. but it may not have been a "military" vehicle...

Kind of looks like the ones the Base Game Warden use. All of the tactical ones were diesel powered with the 6.2 but the ones that were purchased as non tactical usually had the gas motors and the roll bars like yours have. Good looking truck, and welcome.

Prerunner1982 - there is no indicator on the guage panel as you had asked. I think 79stomper may be correct, it was probably some vehicle that was used for non-tactical purposes. Thanks for the info guys.
