That is a great looking set up. I have one question. Can you put the tailgate of the trailer at a 90* angle with the camper door open? It would be like a little porch. Nice place to sit, have a beer, take off muddy boots, etc.

No, it goes all the way down. I plan on adding some metal cable on it in the future for that nice porch addition
The traditional RV A/C unit is what I had in mind. Using the already existing center vent hole on the roof.
I was also thinking of a toolbox mounted on the front frame rails and a swinging tire carrier on the rear.
I was thinking 2-4 batteries, deep cycle. Rig charges them when hooked up, solar panels when disconnected or plugged into an outlet if at a camp site.
A mini generator is a good idea if mounted on the outside somewhere.
Ever google those Gypsies trailers? Capable of year round living?
Would also like to hook up a shower to the 30 gallon tank of water.
I have a lot of plans for this trailer/camper when my blazer is done.
There was one posted on http://www.rme4x4.com/ It's a Fiberglass one. $800. Not sure if he still has it.
If all you need is a place to sleep, a 1/4 shell might work?
A 16' travel trailer could work? Would be a lot cheaper to get one of those then build an Alaskan.
Could also get a fully loaded cabover truck camper with a shower, toilet, sink, stove, etc?
I would think a 16' would work best for your needs so it's an easy quick disconnect so you can still use the bed of your truck?
SCamp trailers are cool! Ever research those?
