m1031 cant get the key to work

key has worked 1000 times before. now i can push it in but it will not turn?? was thinking about putting some oil on the key. try that.. any other ideas thanks

You have probably tried this but just in case turn the steering wheel as you try the key. Worked many times for me but I finally changed to a remote starter button.

Best stuff I've ever used for sticky locks. Graphite lasts longer and doesn't gum up the tumblers like oil can.

my 95 silverado did thew same thing, worked great then just wouldnt work. so i went and bought a new ignition cylinder then my shop forman went and cut a new key real quick for my truck and it worked great so i wasent the ignition cylinder just a old key. my advice is get a new key cut befor anything else
