Well, I rolled my blazer/truggy on Pritchett/BB04. The firewall buckled on the passenger side and is going to make reinstalling a blazer windshield frame a real BIOTCH! So I was thinking /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif what if I had a fold down windshield.

It is a real bitch, but I got a windshield back in mine! I wish you would have posted this idea up before I went to all that work on mine, cause that would be SWEET!!! DO IT!!! /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

I think it is a great idea. You might have just started a new trend.

DO IT!

That would be sweet.
It's one of the few things I miss about my old jeep days.

I like the ideal. Unless You have access to one I see no reason why one could not be fabbed up for cheap with some plexiglass and some scrap metal.

Why even bother with a windshield?

it is a daily driver. (at least it was last time any mods were made)

For real? THAT is a daily driver?????????

Ah...
Arizona rules! During the summer (when its not monsoon season) its great. Remember, I did drive it to Montana from Northern Arizona. Mudflaps may be an issue but... its fully insured, has a real registration and brakes and turnsignals and all that good stuff... except a windshield (which is required in a vehicle in Arizona). Oh and Lexan is legal in AZ.

Welcome to AZ /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif You need a shatter resistan wind screen (auto glass or lexan -> not plexiglass) or form fitting eyewear (goggles, wrap around glasses ect) on the street. 1 mirror, 1 driver side headlight, 1 brake/tail light, mudflaps, and a liquid barrier over the engine(hood) and that is about it to be legal in AZ. (there are some other little details but those get a fix it ticket/warning)

Check out the bottom three pics, its alot harder to tell how the frame lines up laying down, when stood up, it looks like it would easily cover the driver and passenger......its approx 8" narrower than our windsheild frame

Bottom three pics

Juan...i'd just weld some tabs on the cage and bolt in a piece of lexan and be done with it....since the boys seem to agree with your annual flop rate this would fix the problem...and be dirt cheap to repair the next time...
