I believe the block should be servicable still. It ran decent up to the day it spun the rod bearing. I would think that any issue with the casting would have shown up by now. And the block Summit has is the same casting as mine. I figure theres no need to replace parts I already have.
Its just going to be a stockish rebuild... If a stroker can be considered stockish LOL. I want more torque, whatever increase might come for HP is great but not my main concern. I figure that for something that wont ever see north of 5000 RPM theres no need to go crazy. I'll see what the machine shop says.
