Made my own tbi injectors

How much for a pair shipped to 93311?!
Dude! The guy has one post, no info or pictures and your ready to buy? :haha:

Then I would have to ask... if there was a way to get them apart and redrill for bigger injectors and resemble? Do you think I would have done it by now? Would you like to see what is inside a TBI injector after being machined in a lathe to get it apart?

I'd have to be curious as to "huge difference"? in what way? flow more? GPH? can't see how any machining is going to affect the needle/orifice..

just buy bigger injectors.. :dunno: none of it does any good without changing ECM table/values.. not to mention having more of a need for fuel, cam, heads, flux capacitor, etc...

shhhhhhh...
he works for the secret government agency that buys up all the 100 mpg carburetor patients.:ignore::haha:

I disassembled a set of tbi injectors and did some machining and man do they make a huge difference.

I expect that it did make a huge difference....since a flooding truck is a lot different than a running truck.

New to site

I'm new to the site and thought I would post this to see if my first post worked. I guess it did. I will have Picts on as soon as possible. What I did was drilled out the three spot welds on the tip of the injector the threaded out the tip. Once that tip was off I took the inner spray tip and machined the eight holes on the same helix that they were before but larger. That allows for more fuel. Did not have to do anything to the ECM. Just adjusted timing and fuel pressure. With the additions to the motor such as can and heads the motor would not rev out do to lack of fuel with stock injectors. I try to build before buying. So I made a test bench with one stock injector on one side and the new one on the other and with them both running at the same time there was a larger amount of fuel being sprayed and more in the container on the left side than the right. Hope this post is better for those asking questions.

Ahh. Sounds like you built an engine and were running out of fuel due to air flow/cam. Curious if you would like to share your engine build

I was kidding. I just want my motor to run right.

Brought fuel pressure down a bit from 18psi. Have been running the truck for two days without any problems. Not sure how to post video of truck running. Some help please
