Damn aluminum shims.

Pay no attention to my custom brake line brackets.

Those were from the PO and I haven't taken the time to redo my brake lines in the rear. That's later.

I got the zero rates from JKW and the quality is top notch. The spring plates and u bolts came from Kert and are sexy as always. I had both sets of zero rates milled so I can get rid of my shims front and rear. Less to worry about IMO. I may try and get a little done at a time since I start nights tomorrow night. Maybe one corner a day. We'll see.

yet another reason im glad i ditched my aluminum shims

they always seem to have a problem

i dont see anything wrong;)...i did the samething, one broke and one looked like it just corroded away.

Thing is, I just stumbled across that one day right before I bought my Silverado. I was just snooping around checking things out and was like "WTF?!?" Good thing nothing got messed up or worse.

That happened to me one night, was walking down my street about 2:30am after getting off work and parking the truck, I go to cross the street and see something in the road. I think, "man that sucks, somebody lost half a spring shim................wait a minute" back to the truck and what do you know, ones gone the other was half gone, and i had been wheeling and driving the truck all weekend. No more shims for me.

Ahhhhh! All better now! Big thanks to JKW Off Road for the pimp milled 2"-6*milled zero rates. Also to Kert for the sexy u-bolts. I still have to install the 1"-6* milled zero rates in the front with new u-bolts and sexy spring plates from Kert. Dang I love new parts!!! :D

Again, don't mind my custom brake hose clamps and I know my axle seals are leaking. :doah: I have to get some speedi-sleeves and put on them. :o

Those are from a Chevette, or so I was told. Don't know what year though. The PO of the axle did the brake lines. I need to redo them too. the hard lines are going to catch on something one day. :doah:

did you torque down the u-bolts? still looks like a gap between the spring and zero rate. looks like those springs are so stiff and not allowing it to go flat.

Decided while I was off to go ahead and git r done.

I fixed my driver's side front from sagging and she's now sitting an inch higher all the way around. I also moved my front axle forward 1.5". I took her out for a few miles came back and re-torqued everything. I'll do it again after I drive it to work and back Friday night. That reminds me, I need to buy a torque wrench.

These were taken before I did the test drive. The driver's side was still 1/2" lower than the passenger side but when I got back they were both dead level.

That should hold me over until I can get my front shackles relocated and longer shackles.
