mag-hytec ... has anyone had issues with leaking?

Only after diff overheating and flattening out the o ring. Other than that 10 covers or so later never.

Update: One year later and now I have leaking issues on the GM 4L60E mag hytec tranny pan. The leaks are were some of the bolts are. I rechecked the torque and it is good. I snugged it up a little more to see if it helps. If not then maybe a new o ring. I would prefer the gasket. Never had leaking issues with the gasket.

I called Mag Hytec. They are sending out a new O-ring free of charge. I've decided I'm going to pull off the tranny cooler and put back on the stock one. I'm thru with messing with this cooler. It is so much work taking it off. I never had a leak with the stock tranny pan.

On a 2001 Silverado to intall the Mag Hytec tranny pan I have to remove the header pipe due to clearence issues. Way too much work.

I just installed 14 bolt diff cover and 4l80e cover on my 07 cclb before moving from az to va this past month while towing my k5 and street bike. Neither are leaking. Will make an effort to double check the torque when I change my oil later this month.
Good to hear mag-hytec stood behind their product and sent you a gasket.

I ended up putting back in the original tranny cover. I never had leaking issues with the original cover.

Tightening the bolts may be risky. After I tighten them the pan leaked even more.

I followed the instructions.. every thing but the part about taking a file to the tranny or cover. If there are any burs they will cut into the oring over time. I'm not sure if that was the problem.
