When i purchased my magnum box ORD sent me a TH400 to Ford 205 adapter housing. The ford 205 adapter mounting holes are narrower than the Th400 to NP 205 to mount to the transfer case cross member. Any suggestions? Thank you

Are you using stock type mounting bushings and crossmember? If so, you could elongate the holes if they're close or redrill if there's a big difference.

The important mount is the one we send with the Magnum, the one under the adapter between the trans and Magnum is secondary.

Be careful tying the transfer case down too rigid, if it's more rigid than the motor mounts you run the risk of breaking transmission housings. Beyond that, even if the motor and transfer case are mounted rigid (but the same), if the chassis flexes around (i.e. especially square body GM trucks) you can break transmission housings. I really prefer a pair of mounts at the Magnum, same material and spaced about as far apart as the motor mounts.

If you want to add a second mount at the adapter between the trans and t-case, do a single mount in the middle so it supports weight but doesn't add any rigidity.

The extra torque makes it natural to want to add extra mounts, but too much is too much.
