I was itching to take the maiden voyage to Tuttle Creek ORV and I convinced my cousin Darrell who convinced his cousin Kris to come along. Made for a really nice day of wheeling in beautiful 70 degree November weather.
The tan K5 is mine, The Black K10 belongs to Darrell and the Jeep belongs to Kris.
This is my new desktop.

Put my first dent in the K5 here. Pretty much caved the door in. Smashed the drip rail on the cab and wrinkled the entire box side all in one shot. At least it's out of the way and the door still shuts decent.

Little rascal slipped right through without a scratch.

Reasonably flexy for a daily driver.

This is from a previous trip, but worth posting. Notice how many wheels are on the ground.

It's hard to even count how many safety violations are occurring in the last few pics. Thankfully no one was hurt and seeing it in pics makes me all the more aware. That being said, if no one had been standing on the rear corner of that Jeep or hanging on to a spotter rope, it would have gone over. The pics do no justice to how steep any of these places are.

We were able to keep the shiny side up and he did not try it again.
We decided to load up and head home. No parts breakage and only the expected body/driveshaft damage so it was a good day.
Finito.

Looks awsome guys, I have to say Im jealous you got to go to there. Was there any breakage while you were there.

We didn't actually break anything, though I've never gotten out of that place without at least some rear driveshaft damage. Saturday was no different. i will need to build another one out of Sched 80 pipe like I did on my last K5.
I put a few dents in my K5, but such is life.

Is this Tuttle Creek in Randolph Kansas? I didnt know there was many people on here in my area that went to Tuttle..

I'm only 90 miles straight up HWY 15 from Abilene. We typically go down there at least 3 times a year. 80'427 and 82355 both usually go with me.

Well next time ya'll go if you want some company hit me up. I am always opn for some fun there... Last time I went I did same as you did with Blazer and caved my whole passenger sidein. They call it JEEP trail for a reason, a full size wont make it without damage....LOL...

I'll keep it in mind. Probably won't make it down again till spring, but you never know. We get some nice days here and there.
