I've always wondered why I've seen alot of tractor trailers running Maine tags on their trailers, even though the tractor is tagged else where.
Did a little digging and found out you can get your out of state trailer tagged in Maine even if you don't live there.
To get my trailer tagged in Delaware, I have to pay $76 a year and have to run it down to the DAV to get a inspection. I just got a 5 year tag in Maine for $90. Another savings is if you buy a new trailer in your state and get it tagged up there, theres no tax owed.

Assuming you are diligent enough to take care of your trailer and not wait for a yearly inspection to fix all those busted lights
