Well, I ordered my tires from 4 Wheel Parts back in November and when they arrived, things were good right? Wrong. Turns out they sent me the wrong rims. No sweat right, well, not too bad, the truck wasn't ready so I didn't need em right away anywho. Then the rims I wanted were back ordered so I had to wait for those. Once those rims were in, they called and told me that Interco was doing a little redesign work on there tires, would I like to wait and get the new ones, well, the truck still isn't ready so I said SURE. Just got off the phone with Interco, the tires won't be ready till JUNE!!!!! Don't know if I can wait that long. Here comes the question. The tires I ordered were the TSL Radial 36x12.5x16. These tires are/were a standard 6 ply. Interco has redone this tire and made it a 10 ply. I'm more than okay with that. I'd like to have a set of 10 ply tires. Should I wait till summer to get the tires I want, or run the ones that, in all honesty, are the ones I thought I was getting the first time. My truck will, if all goes shitty, be ready in about 2 months. If all goes well, it'll be ready in about 3 weeks. 5 months is a long time to wait, especially if the truck is ready and just waiting on tires.

What do you folks think.

the question you need to ask your self is can you wait? do you have another old set you can put on till then? can you find a used set to use till then?

If I were you, I'd wait. If you don't, you'll regret it when you're in the trail with a flat thinking "would this have happened with the 10 plies?". . If you have something else to drive in the meantime, wait.

I'm a patient person though. Everytime I order something it must be shipped to Miami and then to my country. It always takes a long time.

Would the 10 ply tread make that much difference to you? I don't think it makes the sidewall any tougher and in the end, it'll only end up making the ride a little rougher, won't it?
Just something to consider. Unless your Blazer has gotten ALOT heavier than stock, my guess (and only my guess) is that you'll be as well off with the current 36's.

That's a tough thing to decide. We always want what is "NEW", but is it that important to you? I think I would wait, but I'm not the one who needs to decide. It's not my truck.
