make a cv driveshaft?

if i wanted to make a cv rear d shaft-couldnt i just take an H yoke from a front d shaft and put it on the rear shaft and presto!???

i would say strength might be an issue,but ive been wondering the samething

No you need to use the whole assembly. Without the centering ball, the end of the shaft would just flop around.

i think thats what he ment...maybe lol,but ya,ive always wondered that too..if u kept the center ball and everything,if it could be lengthened for a rear shaft...i think on a 4cyl. jeep it would work

The 1350 CV rear shaft that most of us use is a front CV from a ford super duty. It's just clearanced for more angle.
