Make sure the trail is solid...

I was just thinking that the other day as I went down the interstate and looking at a borrow pit (area they remove dirt from to make an over pass) with snow on it and a flat field near it. How many grass poles had wheeled into a frozen lake by not knowing it was there.

lol i love how the pulled the keys out on it...hahaha

I'm amazed they got it out. The weight of the ice and water inside plus all the ice still on the outside! Lucky they didn't just tear it apart!

Idiots! All of the people who do that! I would NEVER drive my vehicle on any ice ponds unless it was max 3 feet deep anyway... And for the RV Recovery, Wtf? Id be afraid the tow truck would slide.. Hope they had it anchered.

thats a 2003 or newer SLT. Thats at least a $35,000 truck. Thats one of the reason I don't go wheeling in the winter. Every single trail ride I have gone on in the winter someone has broken through ice. It always a terrible extraction. I posted these pics before but they are relevant.

I feel bad for this guy because he only backed into this spot to pull someone else(jeep) out of another stuck.
