I do own a proper 30 mm deep socket for 6.2 injectors, but being 50% packed for the upcoming move means I can't find it for the life of me. The only place I could find it the first time is closed Sundays...so I used my die grinder to massage a 1 1/8" deep impact socket I had at work. The 1 1/8" socket measured 29.3 mm inside and the corners are reliefed. The injector measured 29.8 mm.

I now have a snug fitting deep socket for my injectors...:D

OK thanks for confirming that number for me, I didn't have calipers with me to measure the injectors, and i was trying to use SAE sizes, and the 1 1/8 didn't fit and the 1 1/4 was too big, I fgured i should have brought the metric sizes along but I didn't.
