So I piced up a replacement bed for a truck I am working on and have had a couple of strange ideas for the old bed.

Option 1:
Bob the back off of it, reweld it to the front half (eliminating the wheel wells) and make a "Garage couch" out of it. Mount it on casters so that it can be wheeled around and people can sit on it.

Option 2:
Cut it down so that I can mount the back half to the garage wall with a working tailgate and make it into a fold down workbench that could be used for welding small stuff etc.
Hmm.......Evil thoughts.

Dude I love the roll around tailgate 'couch'. Thats a freakin cool ars idea- as long as you have the rooom in the shop for it and it'll actually get used- do it.
Keep in mind the added weight of a couple people are gonna want to flip it over. Might have to mount it to the wall and it serve both duties.

Both sound really cool, but my vote is for the flip down welding table. While the couch would be awesome, I can see it potentially getting in the way (at least in my shop where everything is always in the way). The flip down table would be functional and cool...and of course, folds up out of the way. My $0.02.
