Has anyone found a good way to make AC power from their truck? Every year when the storms come through I wish that I had a way to make emergency power when the lights go off. In my case I need 240 V for a well pump too.
I know I could buy a stand-alone generator, but I really don't want to store it, and I have my diesel truck just sitting there, which would be happy to idle all night for me. If all I needed was 110 V, there are inverters around that could do the trick, but the 240 V makes it tough. I'm also having a heck of a time Googling for 240 V because everything that comes up is for European 50 Hz.
Belt driven would be okay too, if the mounting wasn't too painful.
