Isnt there a way to modify the door pins or something so that the doors can be removed easier? Who's done this? Thanks.

I have seen someone else remove the hinge pin and install a pull pin before. I think Steve Frisbee did this mod.

no rattle at all i just removed the old pin and welded in some tube to the center section of the hindge the tube has a 3/8 diameter, so them i reemed out the holes on the outer hindge to 3/8. so now all i use is a 3/8" bolt (greased) with a nut to hold it together
-You can drill out the door hinges with 31/64 bit.
-Buy door hinge bushings for chryler/dodge. I bought Help- item number 38377 from auto zone
-use 3/8" x 4" hitch pin for the door hinge pin
-if you use this it takes a hammer and screw driver to take out the hitch pins
I do not know how well they work with stock heavy door, but they work great with my canvas doors.

I think it was last year, someone posted about grinding the knurl down on the hinge pin so they easily slide in and out. Then welding on a washer to the top of the pin. This way you can pull on the pin and they pop-off.
I did this, and found the top pin would not slide in and out because of the shape of the door. I made the pin slide in from the bottom. I am using a safety wire to hold the pin in though. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I did exactly that. With the exception of the top pin. I got some longer ford pins (they are the same dia. as the chevy), and drilled holes for a spring pin. I put them in upside down and use a washer and the spring pin to keep them from falling out. Works great! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif It takes me about 3 minutes to take my doors off. Plus when I put them back on, they are automatically lined up to shut right. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
