The easiest/fastest way to get to it is to remove the serptenine belt, take off the alternator and PS pump from the front. Leave them bolted to the brackets. I can have mine torn out in less than 10 mins. I guess I am not seeing why you are having such a problem.

I think it is one of those things where you've just gotta quit puttin' it off and just dig in and do it. When it's all done, it's not as bad as you thought it was going to be.

Yea, I was diggin in to it though... I was just going at it the wrong way (which is why I came on here and asked what the heck I was doing wrong. Thanks Shane, that is exactly the answer i was looking for from my original post
