MuddinManny said:I tell ya, the little contacts you develope turn out to be the best blessing. Nuture them and treat 'em like gold and you get so much more out in return.

MuddinManny said:Thanks BK,
I appreciate that too. I have to confess I was really nervous...okay, scared, to do this. I didn't want to mess up my D60, so I took it nice and slow and tried to remember everything y'all told me in posts I read. I see that I forgot a few things. Got it printed out and in the manual so I don't forget!
Thanks for sharing!

Also take a look at the screws that hold the outer part of the hub to the inner part. That looks like a perfect place for water to seep in when the axle is submerged. I put O-rings on those screws so that they seal tight when installed.MuddinManny said:I will be sealing the Warn Lockout Hubs with RTV...

If I ever get my junk out of the garage, we can go abuse our 383's.

MuddinManny said:I then inserted the axle shafts into the axle. I tried twisting the u-joints. Man they were tight, and used a good amount of force to move. That scared me a little bit, because I felt that I may have damaged them with the hammer. Turns out, when taking to my friend Jim, he said that was normal, and everything would be okay. I know, I know....![]()

Naw just kidding. Its looking good and I can't wait to see that bad boy running.
