This indeed is a sad way to leave things. This thread was one of the most detailed, and instructional to a lot of people, and Manny even welcomed criticism on his project, to put out the correct way to do things so others wouldn't have to make financial, and physically dangerous mistakes on their own rigs. He accepted others ways of doing things, Ryokens painting tips comes to mind, amongst others. I feel Manny was defending his beliefs and got shot at when doing so. Because of the shark infested waters of the lounge, things went bad real fast.
Its best to let this lay, and hopefully everyone regardless of point of view learn from it.

Last week 4xcrazy went ballistic on Ryoken and deleted a bunch of posts on different threads. I mean this went on for days :eek1: !

He said he wasn't coming back.

Agreed. My dad is military and I know alot of guys in the military and Manny didn't really seem like the type and he just seemed to be a little too nice. I'm not starting anything just my opinion. A guy can have an opinion right??

And I didn't know there was a stereotype for military service. My dad and brother are complete opposites but they were both in the military. Interesting I think.

Just so everyone knows, Manny himself has been slowly but steadily deleting his posts. I know this for a fact because, as a Mod, I can see what most of you can't. The posts are still there for me to access if I so choose, but this is what I see on EVERY ONE OF HIS POSTS before I click the "view" button:

Just so everybody knows, he threatened to sue Steve because of the "anti-Christian" sentiment at CK5. If you can believe it, he threatened to report ME to the RCMP for being part of the problem. :screwy:

Being an asset to CK5 is a many-faceted thing. Sure, tech is a big part of it, but if you can't get along with people who disagree with your opinion, you don't belong here. IMHO, the minute Manny threatened to report Steve to the FBI and the Texas Attorney General for "hate crimes", he sealed his fate.

I hate to see ANYONE leave CK5, but when the good of the site in in jeopardy, I side with the membership as a whole every time. Always have, and always will.

Kristie brings up an interesting point about the medication..

I'm not really sure what Manny saw in the threads that was so anti-christian.. I mean, yeah, since the poop hit the blade, our resident clowns have started a few poking threads... But I can't remember any particular thread that might have set him off.. I did see the car wreck one, but that certainly couldn't be the basis for his "charges"...

That being said, personally I musta skimmed Manny's diatribe's on religion.. I knew he was, I'll say, devout, but I didn't realize it was that rabid... Obviously, I wasn't noticing...

From what Can just described, that's off the deepend.. No excuse for that kinda sue-happy, intolerant type of view.. What was he expecting Steve to do?

Faith scares me....

Yeah, especially when Manny's faith is comparable to the nuts who worship Allah and then go blow themselves up to prove a point. Sounds like Manny's Jihad. :doah: Hope Manny doesn't try to blow up his blue truck. He could at least have a will written and leave the truck to me. :D
 
Oh, BTW, I forgot about Manny being heavily medicated from his brain surgery. Wonder if that has a contribution to his outbursts? What happens if it does and the day comes that he gets weaned off the meds?

It was a cool build, anytime your throwing that kinda coin out, it should be cool...

One thing I wasn't feeling at all was his front bumper choice.... I ain't into the whole giant, roadwarrior-like, looking bumpers.. But to each his own... Tube bumper for me, thanks...

I'm locking this thread. This chapter of CK5 needs to come to an end.
