i just noticed that every once in awhile i'll look at my hubs and the one on the driver side will be half way between free and lock. on that side i have a warn standard hub since i blew up my premium

has anyone had this problem, what could cause that?

maybe something hit it and turned it on the trail?

it does it when i'm driving down the road, i'll put it on free and take a trip somewhere and get out and look and it'll be halfway between free and lock

i tried to get a new one warrantied out but they said that since i didn't have a receipt they wouldn't do it

i've always been able to get hub parts for free and without a receipt simply by sending an email to their tech people. never a whole assembly though..

As long as you don't have a locker in the front and it is not locking in totally it shouldn't cause a problem.

The Warn premium should be warrantied even without the receipt. If you contact warn through the web and let them know any place that fails to warranty a premium hub that place will no longer sell warn parts. They charge a premium for those hubs for a reason. You could also try contacting Gowarn.com to see if they will warranty the premium for you.
