ok, for my new dana 44, i need to egt manual locking hubs. im guessing the one on my ten bolt wont work because the shaft on my 10 bolt is 3"'s and the shaft on the dana 44 is 2 3/4"'s

any tips?

thank

What year is the dana 44 ? Is it external locking hubs ( hub held on with bolts around perimeter ) ?

All second design spindle d44's ( mid 76 0n ) and all 10 bolts in 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton use the same locking hubs. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

since im a newbie, i can tell you that i took about six bolts off of the hub to get it off. does that help? so they will use the same locking hubs even though the shaft sizes are different?

Were the bolts in the center around the top edge of the hub, or around bottom edge close to the wheel mounting flange near lug nuts. ?

If its the former its later internal style locking hubs. If its the latter , then it is early external hubs. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

That is definitely an external locking hub axle. Are you changing frontends for gear ratios or crossover? Nevermind, I see its 8 lug, get new locking hubs /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
