I just bought a K5 jimmy and I am vary new to 4x4 vehicles. I am a muscle car guy. Anyway I just wanted to know how to use it. I could not find any good info about how to use it. I you turn it when you want to lock the hub, but I do not know if I turn it till it stop or half way or somewhere in between. Also how do I know when it is locked and not? I know this is a stupid question, but I rather ask and not blow it up then blow it up and not ask.

Thanks

Brad

It's easy:
all of the hubs have an arrow and a mark at lock and a mark at unlock.
Turn until it lines up with lock.
If it's a manual lock you will know it's locked no doubt, if it was an auto locking hub then you'd have to worry.

Pics of your vehicle and Congrats on your new Life in the outdoors. U came to the Right place and you will never be the same ever again LOL

Thanks guys I am really excited about getting it :). Can't wait till I drive it some today!

What I would do is turn the locks to lock, put it in four low, and hammer the gas. You will know if it works or not.
Disclaimer: you might tear something up if you don't know what your doing.
When I got mine I went into my backyard and did the above and was surprised that all four wheels spin and I was pinned in my seat. Gotta love it.
