Getting the ducks in a row for my Nv4500 swap.

Anyone ever put a master cylinder on a mechanical pedal? Either a stock one or a universal (Wilwood, MeLeod, etc...).

I've got a mechanical pedal in my K5 right now. Both Nv4500's I have are hydro bells. My original plan was to use the bellhousing from the current 465 and mod the earlier 4500 to accept it, keeping my mechanical setup. But the 4500 I recently picked up was the later style with the internal throw out bearing. It looks to be in better shape, and I'd like to use that one instead. However the later one won't accept the 465 bell (and I don't want to buy the AA one).

At my disposal I have the following parts:

Mechanical pedals, factory hydro pedals w/associated parts, (they are hydroboost pedals and were bought for another project, prefer not to use these if I don't have to), 465 mechanical bell, early Nv4500 w/external slave bell, late Nv4500 w/internal slave bell

I have no problems/complaints with how my clutch linkage currently performs. When I swapped it into the truck I only had part of it and had to build the rest...so it is new and works very well. So I'd assume that keeping the linkage the same and modifying the early trans to work with the mechanical bell would net me the same performance.

Am I just making more work for myself by wanting to adapt my current pedals to hydro? I suppose I could compare the two styles of factory pedals and modify the mech set (I don't even know if that's possible...never seen them side by side).

Changing over to the hydro pedals I have would require me to change the brake booster and modify my power steering system. I have the necessary parts but the work involved doesn't thrill me when I already have a functioning clutch pedal in the truck.

Tell me how I should move my clutch, what would you do with the parts I have on hand? Buying a master cylinder isn't that big of a deal, or even sourcing another set of hydro pedals for the other truck.

Toyota stuff is straight thru the wall.....cheap...A GM solution would be cool.

I do recall a bit of trouble with it though
