i found this cool page with lots of info and how to id a GM map sensor off the codes .

I remember running across that page or similar. MAP sensor must have been one thing GM got right (not that there weren't others of course). As I recall, one, two or three bar were the only real differences.

I want to say GM started using them in 1981, and no clue when they stopped. 1995 at least?

oh they got it right . . . the one i was looking for info on was swapped on to a FORD .....
