Has anyone tried Marathon Seat Covers (Bozeman, Mt.) ? Their web site is: www.marathonseatcovers.com . They just sent me some Cordura fabric samples. They're asking $175 for the pair of front buckets for my '87 K5 and $175 for the rear bench. I'm having to look in this direction because I can't seem to find anyone locally who even seems interested in recovering my seats. My only concern is that these covers may look like a couple of socks pulled over the seats given the way our buckets are contoured etc. I think they said for $10 extra they will 2-tone the covers to sort of match my new paint scheme (Navy & Smoke are the closest colors I could match up).

If anyone has a photo of these installed I'd greatly appreciate seeing what the finished and installed product looks like.

Sorry I can't help you with a photo, but I can tell you the quality and fit is excellent.

More than 20 years ago I had a set of the saddle blanket style covers installed by Marathon in my 78 Jimmy, and they've held up fantastic over the years. Tight and accurate fit, no slipping or loosening over time. The newer cordura fabric covers will probably outlast the seat frame.

Their seat covers are installed immediately in any company truck I have any say over, and they've always fit perfectly regardless of the brand or style of rig. They can be a bit tedious to install depending on the rig, or if you're not patient, but it really isn't too bad.

I suppose it's possible that they may fit loose after installation if your seat foam has broken down and sagged over the years. LMC sells pretty decent foam replacement kits.

Thanks for the feedback SilverMiner. Yeah, they sound nice but I know the factory installation was unique with the late 80's Blazers and Dodge Ramchargers. They were somehow pressure formed and they had to put zippers on the back of the seats in order to get even the factory covers on. I've been concerned that the way my seats are shaped that new seat covers won't fit back into the cavities of the seats. Maybe someone else has a photo of their installation.
