Getting into boating and bought a 1977 Bayline with a Mercrusier 260 engine. This is a SBC 350 with a 2bbl. Looking to add some easy power but stay with the carb. I think the rpm range is 2800-3000. Open to suggestions. What about Vortec heads? Thanks.

Parts to sell trade? Bring em to Blazer Bash!

2800- to 3000? That may be cruising speed for max fuel economy.
Max WOT RPM for your 260 mercruiser is 4600 RPM. If you cant reach MAX RPM you will prolly need a diferent prop. Easiest way to add power to a boat is to have the proper propeller.
