Looking to put some carpet in my K5 over the to be chassis saver painted floor.. Worried about going mudding and ruining a nice carpet so I was considering using some short marine/outdoor carpet. Anyone done this before?

I am redoing my trans hump, so the stock carpet will not be an option. I had thought about using something like you would see in a boat, but I haven't gotten that far yet.

i've been thinking about something like this too... i'm going to be taking the seats out of my CC this summer to POR the floors, and maybe doing insulation ( i used this stuff in my old van http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs...3&productId=100020855&N=10000003+90066+531843)

on the back of the cab, and on the floors... maybe not the floors, but who knows...? i want to do Lizard Skin over the POR for insulating purposes, too... i was thinking of looking around for rubber mats to put on the floor... i don't care how they lay, just something better than bare painted steel floor...

something else from the van world was discussed about using outdoor pond matting for sealing things... might be good for 'carpeting' http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs...tId=100001948&N=10000003+90066+501170#reviews
