I know a pro-street guy who loves it. But, he is running a 5XX CID roller cammed, turbo-charged, wheelie barred, fire-breathing, 69 Mustang, it has over 36 inches of rubber in the ground at the rear tires, the thing is just plain ANGRY! He DD's it, when he leaves from the van pool drop off, he has to idle it out to the street as it tends to spin tires super easy.
But, with Mass-flo EFI it purrs like a kitten at idle, passes an emission test in Salt lake county.
Then will run flat 9.5 second 1/4's the thing is awesome. Except it's painted Peach.
Dang, that sounds like a pretty good endorsement. I am almost finished with the installation in my DD 71GMC with a 383. Sounds like it runs just like the advertisement to me.
Thats pretty cool that it passes emissions with that kind of cam.
What sort of emissions test is a 69 subjected to?I would think no testing on that but I don't know the laws everywhere on that subject.I'm running the first gen eddy pro flow in my 64 chevelle with a 406 and it is older tec compared to the mass air metering but fully tunable.I don't think Id pass a test even if I was running cats.
Everything 67 and newer gets tested, for that year the limits are very lenient, but, still there.
But, for a fire breathing, barn stormer, that thing is pure evil. The Mass-flo injection thing, has got to be something...
As soon as that big block fires, you know, the only thing effeminate about that thing is, maybe it has the worlds worst case of PMS, as in need of a case of midol.
