i have a master cylinder from a HUMVEE. They are equipped with Hydroboost brakes which i will be converting my truck too. Does anyone know if the master cylinder is the same as the one from The GM trucks with Hydroboost.?

They are not the same. Will they work or not is a good question though. I have one as well and here were my thoughts on the unit. It is designed for 4 wheel disc so it may work. The problem I have in mind is the fact that the calipers on a HMMWV are much smaller than the calipers on my truck now. This could create a problem as the bore diameter of the M/C could be to small. However I can't find the specs of the unit to determine whether I'm right or wrong.
do you think that the master cylinder will work with boost unit from a GM truck...if not then i need to get those parts as well. However i will try and find the specs for the master cylinder from some of my buddies at the motor pool.
I think it would work with the GM booster, just not sure about putting out enough volume for the large calipers we run. Not saying it won't, just not sure.
63B (wheeled vehicle mechanic) However we work on pretty much anything our unit has. Been a tracked vehicle mechanic for a few years, fuel tanker mechanic, last duty station I worked on Freightliner FLD 120's and triple axle container transport trailers and Kalmars.
