Well I got tired of waiting for a crap on guy to show up so I could get my crap on air ratchet fixed so I broke down and got the Matco one.

Holy crap is that thing a beast. 130 ft lbs, My new favorite tool.
Better not limp wrist that sucker. :eek1:

I have only sold one so far. Guy traded in his FAR7200 on it. Last week he said, and I quote "I love that new Ratchet by the way. Tons of power. Yea if I was gay I'd shove it up my ass". To which someone else said "it has already been there". I always tell guys "whatever you do with a tool, just don't tell me, I may have to warranty it someday".

It was the weirdest compliment I think I have ever gotten to a tool, but it showed how much he likes it, ha. I am waiting for one of my demo ones to come in so I can play with it in my garage.

He has sold 4 now. I didn't even bother trying his demo.

$325 but it's well worth it's price.

The tag that comes attached to it that says " maintain firm grip at all times" is no joke. Be a dumb azz and you'll be bleeding.

It has a great variable speed trigger. Easy to spin em fast until nearly seated and then creep in.

Gotta be careful with it too, it will break sh!t. But after a couple days ya figure it out. I have a set of Matco Impact gloves that I wear that I highly recommend you buy as well if ya use one.

It was a hard sell too.. It was part of my ammo fund.

We got the Demo One in our Shop Right now. It is supposed to not be a rist breaker I have not figured that out yet, is it in the Head or what?

It is not a reactionless air ratchet, limp wrist it and you will find that out.
Ya better be aware of where your hands are when using it.

I read this three times and thought "130 ft lbs, what are you worried about?" ... then I realized you said RATCHET and not IMPACT GUN.

Jeebus, that is a monster. 1/2" or 3/8" drive?

And, umm, why not just use a gun? The right angle is handy for tight places?

it's a 3/8, my matco guy has them, but I want to try the demo and someone else already had it.

Extremely handy. Turn a wrench for a living? 3/8" air ratchets are indispensable. You can't fit an impact a lot of places on modern cars. I handed mine one to the guy I had buy one and he tried it quickly on an engine cradle bolt he knew only an air ratchet would fit on. He usually uses a 1/2" ratchet to break it loose then the air ratchet to run it out. He just used my air ratchet and smiled ear to ear.

The only extra special thing about the air ratchet head is the captured head design. It squeezes the sides of the head together so you can also apply more manual torque with it than you can with a standard air ratchet because you won't spread the head.

Wish I had a DEMO unit to be handing out, sigh.

Hmmm no listing on the Matco site for it.

Still kinda skeptical on the 130 ft lbs I grabbed a 9/16" fine thread bolt & nut.
Locked the bolt in a vice and started torquing the the nut, The ratchet stopped busting it lose at 135 ft lbs.

Letting it run the nut down at full blast averaged 80 ft lbs.

thats what the number means. how tight of a bolt it will consistently bust loose. Its pure working torque is a bit less. That 130 number is the same as say the 1100ft lbs of torque that IR claims the 2135TI Max produces or the 250ft lbs that Snap-On claims their new 3/8" electric impact produces. Though I am even more skeptical of that last number... And pissed at Matco that Snappy came out with yet ANOTHER new cordless item when we are still waiting on our new line!

top of the line means top of the line, sled... LOL

how bout that mg725, seen one yet?

MG725, how long have those been out? I have a Snappy gun on my truck. Think it is an XT7100 though. Guy had it for about 6 months, and traded it on a 2135 TI Max.

I got the demo today, haven't used it but to see how much stronger it was then my old one, and damn...

Well, I had the demo, and it is exactly what I expected my last air ratchet to be. I quit using my air ratchet very much cause it's kinda pain in the but to have to break every bolt loose before it wiould take out the bolt. The demo would break loose every bolt I tried it on, That is, until I broke it...:doah:

Had it in a tight spot and the head got bound up on the exhaust and I broke something in the head, I've done it before on mine, and my 1/4" too, but it sucks doing it on the demo, especially since I was the second person to use it...:doah:

So when he came today, I told him the bad news, and bought one...:D

just got to watch that positioning I guess. Good thing the demo has a lifetime warranty ;)

mg725's been out for a while, depends on which part of the country... weve had them for a few months here..

Yea screw that whole, "Forbidden from participating in any further DEMO programs" thing, haha.

Still waiting on my demos. Should have them soon.

Still plenty power, no problems with mine.
I use it hard.

Fuggin great tool, I highly recommend it.
