Yes that's true for slip (realized after I asked about it) but the angle in the C/V isn't much different for the same droop. The pinion U-joint should have a better angle with the links but the C/V could be a little worse as the axle is closer.

Drive shaft angle is worse for mine due to the fact that the axle has zero rotation as it droops. And swings back at the same time.
