max TBI Spacer thickness?

Thinking I will make myself a TBI spacer for my next rig but wondering what the max thickness I should consider is? I mean turbo city sells the 1/2" one but I was thinking more like 3/4 or 1". Think its worth the extra size and will the throttle cable and TV cable be easily adjusted?

I never measured it, but the TD Performance spacer I have has to be right around 1". link picture link
