Max tire/wheel size on stock M1009

Just bought a1985 M1009 from a surplus auction. It is stock. Starting to think about mods while I wait for delivery. Does anyone know what the max tire/wheel size I can put on the truck without lifting it?

I did 33x12.50's on stock 15x8's on mine. No wheeling, just street driving, but zero rub or fitment issues.

theres guys that have 35s stock. it all depends on what you wanna do. i would go with 33s though

With the 3.08 gears if you get much past 33's you'll really be slow off the line.

Not to mention the 28 spline 10 bolts...

Good point ... hell, you could have 215-75's and still be slow

Eh, I know it can get going. Seen a couple of guys on another forum with that exact M1009 setup...then ask a bunch of questions about why it's so slow.

35's, 3.08's, 6.2L = positively loafing along at 65mph

when i got mine it had 33 12.50s too. but the backs of both fenders were bent up
