Brown Santa came today and dropped off my new ORD HD front shackles, ORD front shackle hanger kit and pitman arm. Like a kid at Christmas, I tore into the box and went out to the garage to my 4” tuff country front springs to see what it will look like once it’s on (for motavational purposes) and the spring bolt for the greasable shackles will not fit through the tuff country bushing sleeve. The ORD stuff came with new bushings, will those new spring bushings from ORD fit the rear spring eye? I didn’t want to remove the new rear bushings from new springs but if the bolt won’t fit, I have no other choice. I figured someone on here has come across this problem before, as common as those parts are on here.

I want to say that my springs were drop shipped from the mfg, not ORD and my bushing was too small. Its been many years now and I have had a bunch of these trucks. I believe I pressed it out and went with just the bolt.

ord uses bigger than stock aplication bolts . swap out the bushings and tube .

and rear bushings are bigger than fronts most of the time in dia .

also run a file down the center of the tube from ord as the drill hole has a burr on the inside most of the time they NEVER clean out and can possibly flip over and close the hole for grease .

soemtimes the lip of the bushings can be thicker or thinner from diff bushing brands also, so look for that too...now you can be like the rest of us and have a box full of random unused bushings in the shop

We include special bushings that are not only for the bigger bolt, but also made from a special compound we came up with to make that little bushing hold up better (see the ORD on the part # stamped in the bushing). You'll need to swap them out.
Awesome! Thank you! I’ll take that TC bushing out when I get home from work in the morning and fit up the ORD’s.

funny!
Yep, ORD sent me extra bushings in my kit.
They will live in the extra parts box until needed for something.
