I am thinking about buyiung this becasue i am gettinga crazy deal. Its a 2wd truck converted into a 4wd truck the shifter is not hooked up et but i was wondering if you all could answer a few questions,

1. what kind of axles are these?
2. What kind of tcase is this, look like more than just a t case there?
3. Are 2wd trucks any weeker than 4wd in any way.
4. is it rreally bad that the torque converter is open like that?

2wd frames usually have beefier brackets and crossmember. Weird but that's what I've seen.

It can go either way, but for the most part its equal to a 10bolt. It can be built to be strong though.

Looks like its just missing the inspection cover for the tranny. No big deal, except you don't really want dirt up in there.

You probably want to get that covered up asap though.

I don't run the cover for my converter. All it does is collect dirt and water. at least if you have it off it will dry out quicker and you can easily clean out anything in there.

WHat the hell is that bar in front of axle!!???

Ha, didn't even see that till you mentioned it!!! I hope it's not the draglink, or swaybar, you can see where it was heated to possibly straighten it.

pics of the frame on how it was made 2x4 to 4x4. just to be safe.

and 2x4 trucks have a 3" shorter front hanger for the rear springs. so if you do a 4" lift you will need a 3" taller kit for the rear to sit level.

but more info on the conversion job. was it body swap or act frame swap stuff.

thats a swaybar that is not bolted to the frame, because its different on a 2wd than 4wd... take it off, tis for poonannys anyways lol

Could that be because virtually all Blazers are 4wd (1/4 ton) and anything else (Trucks & Burbs) are at least 1/2 ton (2wd & 4wd)? :D

Nope, take a look at 2 1-ton frames side by side sometime. ;)
