Maybe I'm missing it, do we have a "comprehensive" diesel swap write-up?

I've searched the forums and also looked through the tech articles and main page and haven't found one yet. If there isn't one already, I'll try to take good pics and notes and record my woes as I tackle this project this spring. I am already keeping a parts list of everything I've bought for the engine overhaul. I didn't take any pics but it went just like any other overhaul would, so nothing special there. I will try to do better about the actual swap though. For some reason, the charger to my camera has sprouted legs so it's a paperweight until I can find it.:doah:

Thoughts on the write-up?

Go for it, I never did do a write-up on my swap...just asked a lot of questions here until I got it done. I also never felt qualified enough to do a write up as I was (and still am) a diesel n00b.

Yeah but you do no need to be a diesel guru to do a write up on your swap.
You just record what you did.

I'm not even qualified to be called a diesel n00b. I don't think enough zero's will fit on the page to qualify my n0000000bosity :p:. I'm basically trying to learn from everyone else's mistakes and experience.

I will do the best I can!

I'm not sure I understand the question. Do you mean what diesel am I swapping in? If so it is a 6.2 out of a '91 Suburban with a 6.5 turbo mounted on it.
