Master Cylinder Swap Question?

Will a 1982 K-10 master cylinder work on my 1973 K-5. I have two '82 K-10's for parts and would swap the booster and/or master cylinder if it will work.

A 73 may or may not accept the 82 master. Check the rod that comes out of the booster by the firewall bracket. The late 70s and 80s have a longer threaded rod if I remember correctly and the earlier ones have an eye loop where a pin goes through. If you have the same version on both trucks it will be an easy swap to take the whole booster and cylinder.
