I am on the road and pondering my upcoming situation.....

Anyone out there have some height measurements on their k5's?

I am trying to clear a standard 80" garage door because I can't leave the K5 outside my new home. Damn neighborhood regulations and it not being street legal.

Currently it has a 3" body and stock 52" front swap and stock 56" rear swap with a DIY flip. I wonder if I remove the rubber and remove the body lift could I clear the door driving in on just the rims???

Or better yet does someone have some room in Lubbock TX to store my bucket???

I dont have measurements---BUT---my truck on 38's, 56's in front and 57's w/ 4" shackle flip and 1" body lift fit in my garage

AND

my friends on a 6" lift front and rear on 38's BARLEY fits in his with the tires aired down.

these are both in a typical garage, mine is actually a little shorter.

Well I am just working off my head but it sure seems much taller then a garage door right now. I'll have to wait until the 23rd to measure mine.

You could call a buddy and have one of them run by with a tape and measure the door. If your memory can tell you about how much the fully open door takes away from the opening, that should get you pretty close.

It is 80" clearance on the door for sure the questionable measurement is the height of my blazer.

Well that is promising. About another week until I get back.... counting the days as this has been a long roadtrip.

My house is over on 108th east of Indiana. Your more then welcome to come by for a beer or wrench session anytime. I need to line up a new group off guys near Lubbock to go wheelin with since I am closer now to Amarillo wheelin the NM wheelin.
