I can't seem to get my mechanical linkage to work right, so I'm going to put hydro stuff in the truck.

can I use the same pedals? I would assume they are different, since one is designed to push down the other pushes the M/c in. Correct? Is there a way to adapt the mech. pedals to work with the hydraulic stuff?

Thanks.

Chris

the peddle assembly is different. you can use it, but it won't be as correct as the hydro setup, the leverage and throw will be off.

I did it.
I used an angle finder. After I installed the master I checked it's angle then made sure the push rod was mounted at the same angle, measured, drilled a hole in my clutch pedal, installed bolt with washers as a sleave and walla..good to go.

I don't have a pic with it installed but I found this one, you can see the bolt sitting in the hole at the top of the pic...
Good Luck

So all you did was drill a new hole to bolt the pushrod into the clutch pedal?

I'm going to assum that you used washers to help eliminate some friction?

Does this work ok? Ever had any problems?

Was it a pain in the ass to get the slave cylinder and clutch fork ligned up correct?

I don't want to swap to hydro thinking that it will cure my mis-alignment issues and be wrong...

did you change to the hydro bellhousing? or did you make a plate to hold the slave cylinder? it takes a different clutch fork when using the mechanical to hydro clutch too.

I got a hydro bellhousing off ebay, i plan on getting a new fork, bearing etc. when it all comes in.

I used my factory bell & fork ~ '72

I bought this bracket from Advance Adapter, the application is for LandCruzer w/Chevy running gear. That is an 80s Landcruzer slave.

It bolts to the bell using the bell bolts...

Everything bolted right in place...bleeding was by far the hardest part of the whole install.
