For all those that dont know exaclty how media balancing works <like me> i searched and found this video, pretty neat shot near the end of the video.

there have been many threads on media balancing since i've joined and i found lots when i searched but never anything to show how it actually balances your tire

so for all the noobs like myself that want to know

Yeah, I use air soft pellets and golf balls. Small tires only need the pellets though. 1 pound of pellets and 5 golf balls per 35x14.50 did the trick for me. Could have been good with less, but I didn't get any vibe all the way through 80 mph.

I investigated and got a fax from Truck Pro that shows the tire size chart and onces recommended in each tire per it's size. For a 38 they only recommend 4-6 oz. You are supposed to use an AirX filtered valve core and a "metal sealing or flow through caps". A 20 oz bag is $11.55. The machine or pump required to fill and mounted tire is $400.00 so dismounting would be required. NO moisture or anything sticky can be inside the tire or the stuff won't work. Airsoft pellets might still be the best solution.

Yeah, i just put 1 pound of airsoft pellets in my 2 front tires today to see if it works. wouldnt use the "equal" stuff in my stuff cause it could clump

just wanted to post the video to show people how the whole concept works incase there was anyone like me that didnt know. imo airsoft should work the best... no clumping

airsoft also happen to be big enough to not need the filtered valve core (they said valve core and not valve stem?). Big bonus in my book, but I'm a cheap bastardo anyhow.

Yup, "insert AIRX filtered valve core into the valve stem"

I don't get why a filtered core is needed. I know it's powder but so what!
