merry x-mas to me...

My rep says there is a no questions asked the first time you break them. btw PM for a great price on your 4340 shafts

Only problem with the old price is that those are the old shafts. The new ones have MUCH more material aroudn the ears. You will still have the warranty with the old shafts the only downside would be if you did break them, just having to pull it all apart.

I wonder what the ones I bought were? They are over at P's house, since he picked them up for me. Next time you're over there, take a look and let me know, if you can tell. :thumb: The earliest I'll see them will be after memorial day at best.

One way to tell which shafts you get is the new shafts won't fit thru the stock knuckle with out grinding it. This is a good issue that I found out the hard way!:D

Yes, that could be a good grinding issue. :waytogo: Thanks for the tip, I'll have to check that when I get them.

I think the longfields & 4340's will be a little overkill for my needs, more than likely, but that's all the more reason for them. So, either way, I'll probably be OK.

actually, I'm almost posetive I have the newer design shafts. Must have bought them at just the right time. I'm not posetive, but I have looked at "1st gen vs 2nd gen" pics on pirate etc and it appears I have the newer type.

straight from the horse's mouth...

The warranty on the Shaft is the same no matter what 5Year on the shaft not the ears but we always hive you one freebee meaning if the ears brake we will replace it under warranty once no questions asked.

As for the joint it comes with a Lifetime warranty against breakage “NOT WEAR” if you waste the joint we replace no questions asked.

Hope this helps
Mac

guess that settles that. Not sure joint I'll use... I don't think I can go wrong either way.
